Everyone will be seeing pink to bring awareness to breast cancer as the St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation returns to the Innisbrook Golf Resort for the Ninth Annual Foundation Golf Classic on Friday, Oct. 26. The four-person scramble tournament will take place on the resort’s Copperhead Course, home of the PGA Golf Tour’s Valspar Championship for many years.

Proceeds from the tournament, which is being held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will benefit the St. Anthony’s Hospital Susan Sheppard McGillicuddy Breast Center and the hospital’s breast cancer services which include mammography vouchers for disadvantaged women in Pinellas County.

The resort is located at 36750 U.S. 19 N., Palm Harbor. Participants are encouraged to wear pink polos and shirts, socks, shorts or slacks to help bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer.

Tournament registration begins at 10:30 a.m. in front of Packard’s Steakhouse at the resort. Before heading to the course, participants can receive expert advice during a one-hour golf clinic hosted by Innisbrook pros at 11 a.m. on the Copperhead Practice Range.

Lunch and beverages will be served until noon poolside at Packard’s. The Classic’s shotgun scramble begins at 12:30 p.m. Hole sponsors will serve beverages and snacks throughout the tournament.

Whether you have a low handicap or are just starting out on the links, golfers of all abilities are welcome and may sign up as individuals or in teams of four. The all-inclusive fee of $550 per person includes fees for greens, cart, tee gifts, range balls, lunch at Packard’s and the awards reception.

The awards reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Packard’s Poolside. Appetizers and cocktails will be served. Deadline to enter is Sept. 21.
