We are pleased to introduce the digital edition of our 2021 Spring Newsletter, featuring our volunteers, summer camp and an extra special birthday! Although 2020 was a challenging year, we found many reasons to be grateful, and are encouraged for what the future holds.
Our volunteers mean so much to us!
Our volunteers make up the back bone of SMART. We rely on them to help us with daily, weekly and monthly tasks. Our horses look forward to seeing their smiling faces. There are all kinds of volunteer opportunities available – grooming, landscaping, cleaning stalls, helping with lessons and more. For more information or to find out about the next volunteer orientation, please email volunteer@smartriders.org.
We would like to wish one of our favorite horses a Happy Birthday!
Norman turned 20 on March 26th. Out of Door Academy preschoolers paid him a special visit, serenaded him and brought him treats on his special day.
Did you know you can adopt a horse?
Horse adoptions help offset the expense of our annual costs of the care of our therapy horses. “Adoptions” can be made in a business name, family name, in memory or honor of – or any recognition desired. This is a great way to join us in helping to keep our wonderful herd of incredible horses happy and healthy! To see our horses available for adoption, click here.
