I opened my veterinary practice, Vet with Hart Veterinary House Call Practice, December of 2012. As a new practice owner, initially business was slow. One day a friend shared the Feather Sound News and Beyond with me. I was very impressed by the color advertisements, newspaper layout, content, columnists, reasonable price for advertising, and the audience it reached. I immediately contacted Kathleen Carfagno, owner of the FSN to enquire about advertising. Kathleen was very professional, and went out of her way to advise me how to best advertise my practice. Advertising in the FSN and Beyond was the best thing I could have done for my practice. Every month I advertise, the number of clients I gain more than doubles. I have a monthly column, ‘Ask the Vet’, that is read by hundreds of local residents. I receive emails thanking me for my advice. Having the column alone is a very rewarding experience.
