Glow All Out for the Night

Glow All Out for the Night with Glass-Blowing Performance Art

Spooky Night Blow - Morean Glass Studio

The Morean Glass Studio ignites after-dark for their Spooky Night Blow: Performance Glass Art event on Saturday, November 8, starting at 7pm.

Lights go off, and molten glass takes the limelight with its fiery, lava-like glow. Glass artists narrate the action as they perform hair-raising feats and throw in thrilling surprises, all accompanied by a live DJ syncing music with the movements.

The event creeps it real with staff in costumes, spooky décor, exciting provided glowstick accessories, and a ghoulishly-grand performance. In addition, light appetizers and an open bar come included with guest admission, ensuring a scary good time.

The show will take place at the Morean Glass Studio at 714 1st Avenue North, with doors at 6:30pm and showtime at 7pm. For more information and to save a seat, you can visit MoreanArtsCenter.org/NightBlow or call 727.822.7872.

2025 Komen Tampa Bay MORE THAN PINK Walk

More Than Pink Walk participants

What is the MORE THAN PINK Walk?

Susan G. Komen - More Than Pink Walk

The MORE THAN PINK Walk, Susan G. Komen’s largest fundraising event series, evolved from the Race for the Cure in 2018. Each year, we host over 100,000 participants at our 40+ in-person (and one virtual) walks across the U.S. Since the first Walk in 2018, our participants have raised more than $60 million dollars and continue to be a part of a community committed to our vision of a world without breast cancer.

With inclusive and accessible options for people of all ages and abilities – including breast cancer survivors, those currently in treatment for breast cancer and people living with metastatic breast cancer – the Walk provides participants the opportunity to come together and connect in meaningful ways. It allows us to focus on sharing our passion, sharing our stories and connecting with others, all while fundraising to support life-saving programs and research.

Our finish line is a world without breast cancer, and we know the only way we can get there is together.

Showcasing Street Photography and Mural Street Art

Cecilia Lueza - Ondine

Cecilia Lueza - Ondine

The opening reception of We Built This City: Women Artists of SHINE and The Shooters We Know: Curated by BASK celebrates all things street-art, from striking urban photography to remarkable mural artistry, at the Morean Arts Center on Saturday, October 11, from 5-8pm.

We Built This City: Women Artists of SHINE celebrates 16 Tampa Bay female artists who have participated in St. Petersburg’s SHINE Mural Festival throughout its last decade.

Each year during SHINE, the Morean highlights mural artists who have participated in past events and/or will be featured in this year’s lineup. For 2025, we recognize the incredible contributions of our local female muralists and the color and vibrancy they have brought to our city. For every painted wall, there is an artist with a studio practice, and this exhibition seeks to make the connection between the two.

The annual SHINE® St. Petersburg Mural Festival illuminates the power of art in public spaces by revitalizing areas, inspiring dialogue, and uniting our community—while cultivating new standards of artistic excellence reflecting St. Petersburg’s creative and vibrant spirit. By using the walls and streets as canvases, SHINE has transformed our shared spaces into a world-class outdoor gallery featuring top contemporary local, national, and international artists. Produced by the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance, SHINE has created more than 170 murals throughout downtown and the surrounding arts districts since 2015.

Participating artists include Alyssa Marie, Artist Jones, Elizabeth Barenis, Quinn Cale, Ashley Cantero, Jenipher Chandley, Dreamweaver, Amy Ilic-Volpe, Carrie Jadus, Nneka Jones, Cristi Lopez, Cecilia Lueza, Syd Bloom, Sara Salem, Nicole Salgar, and Sarah Sheppard.

The Shooters We Know: Curated by BASK features unique street photography capturing architectural elements, action-packed microseconds, and 9 artists including Detroit photographer Sal Rodriguez and renowned L.A. photographer Jeremy Deputat along with talented local artists Greg Bryon, Joey Clay, Tobin Green, Giancarlo Giusti, Amy Martz, Chloe Reyes and Joe Walles. For this exhibition, guest curator and beloved local artist BASK aims to highlight the work of “shooters” (photographers, as they are sometimes called) who he admires and has collaborated with in the past.

“We’re excited and honored to be able to amplify the time and talent of the artists in these two exhibitions,” said Amanda Cooper, the Chief Curator at the Morean Arts Center. “The show features our extraordinary Bay-area female muralists and the photographer-collaborators of longtime Morean member BASK, some of whom have never participated in a gallery exhibition before.”

Both exhibitions open on October 11. We Built This City: Women Artists of SHINE will be on display October 22 and The Shooters We Know: Curated by BASK will remain on view through December 31.

The Morean Arts Center gallery (719 Central Avenue) is free and open to the public Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, please visit MoreanArtsCenter.org or call 727.822.7872.
