Museum of Fine Art St. Petersburg

Calling all artists! The St. Pete/Clearwater region is jam-packed with art museums, galleries, workshops, and performing arts venues for you to explore. No matter what medium of art you’re hoping to enjoy, you’re sure to find something that’ll catch your attention.

The most famous art museum in town is, without a doubt, The Dalí Museum in St. Pete. Featuring thousands of pieces by the critically acclaimed surrealist artist, Salvador Dalí, this museum is more than worth a couple of hours of your time. And while The Dalí Museum is the most well-known, the colorful Chihuly Collection and the varied Museum of Fine Arts are both worth a visit as well.

The Museum of the Arts & Crafts Movement collection offers examples of the beautiful design esthetic of that era, while the James Museum of Western + Wildlife Art showcases the western United States. The Imagine Museum displays contemporary art glass from around the world.

In addition to museums, there are dozens of galleries in the region as well – and there, you can purchase an amazing piece or two to take home with you! Check out eye-catching glass sculptures at the Marlene Rose Gallery in Clearwater, beautiful ceramic creations at the Brenda McMahon Gallery in Gulfport, contemporary artists at The Factory and curated art pieces from all mediums at ARTicles Fine Art Galleries in St. Pete, just to start.

And if the performing arts are more your style, evening shows at the Mahaffey TheaterRuth Eckerd Hall, and Bilheimer Capitol Theater are sure to please.
